Welcome to the website of Laugharne Festival, which takes place every three years featuring local talent and businesses. The next Laugharne Festival will be in 2009, though there could be a mini festival next year around the first week in August. This website will let everyone know what is happening.

In 2006, the Festival ran from Sunday 30th July until Sunday 6th August, though there were also some events outside of this week.

For three evenings, a performance of Under Milk Wood by Dylan Thomas was a unique and very special experience for the audience and all involved. Dylan wrote the play in Laugharne while living at the Boathouse and there is no doubt that he based the play on Laugharne and Laugharne people, so it is always a unique experience to see it performed in Laugharne by Laugharne people of today, but this production was very special.

On Friday 25th August, there will be a committee meeting of the Laugharne Festival. It will be an opportunity to review all that has happened, assessed the money raised for the Cors Playing Fields and to look to the future.
